Our Beef

Grass Fed

What you see is what you get with our grass fed, black Angus cattle. We aren’t willing to take shortcuts. Grass Fed Beef takes longer to raise, and grass costs more than corn. Why, you might ask, would we persist in raising a grass fed product? Great tasting beef that improves your health is truly possible.

Not only are our animals treated with the utmost care, they are held to a strict diet that is free of hormones, gmo’s, pesticides, herbicides and antibiotics. This clean, healthy diet makes beef that is clean and healthy for the consumer. Grass fed beef is rich in cholesterol-reducing omega-3’s, as well as antioxidants and other heart healthy nutrients.

Local

Two Rivers Farm is a small, family owned farm located in Ada, Mi near where the Thornapple and the Grand Rivers converge. We believe that the health of our family, and the health of our community starts, literally at the grassroots level. We wouldn’t feel right about selling a product we wouldn’t feed to our own family.

Natural

Our approach is simple, we let cows be cows

Natural can be defined in a lot of different ways. To us, it means that cows live outdoors with plenty of space to roam. They grow at their own pace without hormones putting heavy muscle on bodies that aren’t large enough to carry it. Our angus cattle develop furry coats in the winter for warmth and keep cool in the summer under the shade of trees. Cows have an elaborate social structure within their herd and we use low stress handling practices in order to respect their boundaries.
